Job Shadow Summary
I was able to job shadow Christine Marchiando at Oak Grove preschool in Porterville. I enjoyed job shadowing her and being able to interact with her students. They have a big imagination and sometimes say the silliest things a person wouldn't think about. After job shadowing Christine I was able to interview her. During interviewing her I was able to ask her “ How has your career affected your life?” she responded by saying “ It has been a good job for me and my family”. Another important question I asked her was, “ What is the most rewarding part of your job” and she simply told me, “ Seeing what children learn and their growth.” Before I made my mind to become a teacher I wanted to know if the economy affects your job and she let me know that they are in a statement program, money can be changed. After job shadowing Christine and being able to interact with the children it opened my eyes to realize that I really do want to work with children. I can’t wait to major in Liberal studies and receive my pre-credential to work with children for the rest of my life. I would even like to open my own little preschool later on. Any job that has to do with helping and working with children catches my attention. This is because, I believe they are our future and we should be there for them and allow them to know that they have someone who will be there unconditionally
